We have updated our software to automatically end lessons, rather than relying on the student to log out. Please still request your students to log out as normal, allowing yourself time to get into upcoming lesson before the next student. However, if a student doesn’t log out for any reason, you will now no longer need to contact the admin team to end the lesson in the back end of Zoom, as this will happen by default. If this does happen, you’ll only be able to join the next lesson at the start, not before.

In the very rare scenario of you not joining the lesson on time and it’s late enough that you feel the student is owed some make-up time (or you feel that they may believe this!), please add a ‘Student owed make-up time’ lesson report comment detailing the reason and we will reach out to the parent. Previously, if it was the last lesson of the block you could have run over, this will no longer be possible.

In line with this update – we are adjusting our phone support to end at 6pm Mon-Fri and will no longer be available on Saturdays. We will update parents / students of this and if any student technical issues arise on lessons past this, please add a ‘Support call request’ lesson report comment and we will reach out of them the next working day.

In another rare scenario of you having a power cut or similar and suddenly not able to teach after 6pm, please message in the WhatsApp group and we will notify the parents, however with backup devices, full charge, tethering off phones for internet etc, this is very unlikely.
