Please remember to stay in the lesson for the duration, even if the student is late. We have had several situations where a tutor has left the meeting, assuming the student isn’t going to turn up, where they have actually just been running late and this has resulted in rearranging lessons and a lot of unnecessary admin. Feel free to turn your microphone and camera off after 15 minutes while you wait for them / write a missed lesson report.
We would also like to remind you that when log on 15 minutes before your first lesson to do a connection test, once you know everything is ok, please turn off your mic and camera until the lesson starts. Otherwise, when the student watches the video back, they will have 15 minutes of you drinking a coffee or whatever you may be up to! The recordings start as the first person (you) joins the meeting.
